A Home from Home ...In the quietness of the countryside, relax in the comforts of our twin, double and family bedrooms, all recently upgraded to en-suite, with beautiful pine furnishings and the warmth of central heating. All rooms are equipped with a Colour TV and coffee/tea making facilities. Meals are served in our Dining Room - Breakfast is served up to 9:30, Lunches (Saturday and Sunday only) are served from 12 noon to 2 p.m. and dinner is served from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. We offer a good range of meals, including courses for vegetarians and vegans, as well as char-grilled steaks using local produce. We have a well-established local trade in every weekend. |

Local Attractions ...There are many pleasant attractions in this area. Our More About Borgue page will give you a general overview of the area and suggest inexpensive visits for your enjoyment. The National Trust for Scotland has gardens at Threave and at Hornel's house in Kirkcudbright. The Kirkcudbright-based group of artists known as the Glasgow Boys painted many landscapes and scenes in this area and on the Carrick Coast nearby. |
Take the A 75 from Dumfries towards Gatehouse of Fleet. Once past Twynholm, turn left onto the road for the A755 to Borgue and Kirkcudbright, turning right after a mile onto the road onto the B727 and then proceeding 3 1/2 miles into Borgue. Borgue Hotel is in the centre of the village on the north side of the street, behind and to the right of the Celtic Cross of the War Memorial. Park behind the Hotel adjacent to the Beer Garden.
