About Marvig ... :

Marvig is a large terraced Victorian House built in the late 1800s. The house retains most of the original features and architecture but has been recently renovated and restored to a high standard. The house now has all the modern conveniences to meet the needs of today's travellers.

We have Family/Twin Ensuite, Double Ensuite, and Twin Bedrooms with separate Bathroom. All of our rooms are centrally heated and have been finished to a high standard. Each room is equipped with Colour T.V., Tea and Coffee making facilities, Radio Alarm Clocks, and Tourist Information packs. There is a payphone available for guests. Hairdriers available on request. We have a drying area for any walkers' & cyclists' outdoor clothing.

We are a NON SMOKING Family run Guest House.

Moffat is an ideal touring base for the South of Scotland, and Scottish Borders, Glasgow, Edinburgh and Carlisle are all within a one hours drive from Moffat.

We especially make cyclists and motorcyclists welcome and offer a lock-up garage for your use, Moffat benefits from having a new Motorway link at Junction 15 on the M74 and a new all purpose road running alongside with a dedicated national cycle track.

A Few Local Attractions and Activities :

Moffat Golf Course, Horseriding centre, Troutmaster trout fishery, excellent local Trout and Salmon River, local Museum and Theatre. Gold Panning takes place at nearby Wanlockhead. Hillwalking and birdwatching on the Southern Upland Way is easily reached from Marvig.

Directions :
On leaving the Motorway at Junction 15 take the signs at the roundabout for Moffat. Once in Moffat continue up the High Street. Marvig is on the left side about 200 yards past the Ram statue and opposite Saint Mary's Church.
