Welcome to the King's Arms ...Our 200 year old granite building holds a lounge and bar popular with tourists and local residents. Parking is in the rear of this old coaching inn. We are developing our residential business in view of demand. Those wishing to stay in Dalbeattie can be sure of a warm welcome, good food and a comfortable stay at the King's Arms. Bar meals and restaurant service are available to residents and non-residents. For those wishing to hold a party or a reception, our Family Room caters for 15-20 people, whilst our Dining Room seats up to 45 covers. |

A Home from Home ...We offer you the comforts of our two double and one twin bedrooms, all en-suite, with the quietness of double-glazing and the warmth of central heating. All rooms are equipped with a Colour TV and coffee/tea making facilities. Meals are served in our Dining Room - Breakfast 7:30 to 9:30, Lunches from 12 to 2:00 p.m., Evening Meals 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. We offer a good range of meals, including courses for vegetarians and vegans, as well as char-grilled steaks using local produce. People living in Dalbeattie recommend us to their friends and relatives. |

Local Attractions ...There are many pleasant attractions in this area. The 9-hole Golf Course at Dalbeattie is only one of several local courses and links - there are 9-holers at Kippford and Southerness, plus 18-hole courses at Colvend, Southerness and Castle Douglas. There is a Bowling Green at Dalbeattie and extensive signposted walks in local forests and on the coast. The National Trust for Scotland has gardens at Threave and at Hornel's house in Kirkcudbright. |
Take the A 711 from Dumfries to Dalbeattie. Once in Dalbeattie, turn left down the High Street (between the Town Hall and the Pheasant Hotel) and continue for a couple of a hundred yards down to the Cross. The King's Arms is on the left of the Co-op supermarket. Parking for visitors booked in is through the archway between the Arms and the Co-op. Other visitors should turn left into Mill Street, then right around the mini-roundabout into the public car park on Alpine Street. Alternatively, proceed up Mill Street to the left of Bryan Gowan's furniture showroom, and park on the far side of the Baptist Church.
