Ian McDonald

I graduated from the Department of Mining and Mineral Sciences at the University of Leeds in 1969.

Since then I have worked in the extractive industries as a Production Manager.

My main areas of interest are the design and operation of processes for the mineral and aggregate industries.

During my working life I have built, commissioned and operated, a variety of different kilns supplying products for industries as diverser as tanning and tyres, paper and paints. More recently I have been involved in projects for the Cement Chemical and Quarrying industries, both in the UK and abroad.
