About Hartfell House...

Hartfell House is situated in a peaceful rural setting in a designated "Outstanding Conservation Area" on the edge of the town of Moffat. It overlooks the surrounding hills, yet is only a few minutes' walk from the attractive town centre. The building is of local stone, and is officially 'Listed' as being of architectural interest, dating from around 1850.

The house has eight spacious bedrooms, a mixture of single, double, twin and family rooms. All rooms have toilet and shower facilities ensuite, and all are equipped with TV, radio alarm, hairdryer, and tea & coffee making facilities. We have a comfortable, spacious lounge commanding beautiful views of the Moffat hills on the first floor and have also recently installed an exercise room, fully equipped with treadmill, exercise bike, bench, freeweights, rowing machine and slam man.

A full Scottish breakfast is cooked to order and a continental buffet is provided. Home baked bread, freshly ground coffee and a selection of speciality teas are on offer to complement the cereals, fruits and fresh juices.

Dinner is available by prior arrangement and we have a residential licence and a carefully selected wine list.

All evening meals should be booked at least 48 hours in advance. Breakfast is served between 7.30 am and 9.00 am. Dinner is served between 6.30 pm and 7.00 pm.

		Moffat is about 43 miles north of Carlisle on the M6/M74. Take Junction 15, the exit for Beattock, Moffat and Selkirk, then follow the road under the Motorway taking the signs for Moffat, two miles east of the M74. 		Turn right beside the War Memorial and down beside the Clock Tower into Well Street. At the far end of Well Street go straight across into Old Well Road.
