Your chance to enjoy a country guest house set in the magnificent scenery of Moffat in the Scottish Borders.

About Hartfell House...

Hartfell House is situated in a peaceful rural setting in a designated "Outstanding Conservation Area" on the edge of the town of Moffat. It overlooks the surrounding hills, yet is only a few minutes' walk from the attractive town centre. The building is of local stone, and is officially 'Listed' as being of architectural interest, dating from around 1850.

The house has eight spacious bedrooms, a mixture of single, double, twin and family rooms. Seven rooms have private toilet and shower facilities ensuite, and all are equipped with television, radio alarm, hairdryer, and tea and coffee making facilities. We also have a comfortable, spacious lounge for residents' use.

A full Scottish breakfast is cooked to order and a continental buffet is provided. Home baked bread, freshly ground coffee and a selection of speciality teas are on offer to complement the cereals, fruits and fresh juices. We believe breakfast is not only the most important meal of the day but also the healthiest.

Dinner is available by prior arrangement and we have a residential licence and a carefully-selected wine list.

Hartfell House is an excellent base for touring the local beauty-spots, and it is a favourite staging-post for motorists heading further north or south.
