Associates are specialists in Design Packaging and Interiors who are based at Lockerbie and commenced trading in 1986. Thirteen years in business have seen the company go from strength to strength. The two partners, - Susan Boyd Hendry and Peter Bowron, - now employ two staff, one full-time.
With increasing competition and additional work available from both local and national companies, the need to stay competitve was paramount. For the best possible competitive advantage, Associates required additional equipment. They applied for support under the MEGA programme after approaching Groundbase with their development plan. Groundbase was pleased to assist them with the purchase of digital camera equipment.
The equipment has enabled Associates to take out the excessive costs in producing visuals of the end product. They are now able to produce the visual effects in house at a fraction of the previous cost and in a far shorter time. This new facility was a major factor in securing a major food packaging contract which was previously contracted to a firm outside Dumfries and Galloway.
