Creetown Country Music Festival

A Tourism Events Support Programme project

Creetown Country Music Festival was run over the weekend of 18th-20th September 1998, attracting 6,000 visitors. This was the second year of support from Groundbase. The programme was expanded to feature fifteen bands, including T.J. McCall, Hullabaloo, Big O'Cajuns, and Fiddler Adam.

There was also a Country Style wedding at the local Registry Office.

The event is now a fixture in the country music scene and provides an economic boost to the former ferry town with its population of 750.

Enjoyment at even the smaller scale.
