Dumfries & Galloway Aviation Museum

From small beginnings almost twenty years ago, Dumfries and Galloway Aviation Museum has developed into an attraction drawing almost 10,000 visitors in its summer season.

With a grant of £ 3,000 Sterling from Groundbase under the VISITOR ATTRACTION ENHANCEMENT PROGRAMME, the Museum has acquired more land for aircraft display, is improving facilities for visitors (including the disabled), and has carried out major work on the Control Tower.

Our picture below shows volunteer enthusiast Ian Duff beside the Gloster Meteor, the first jet aircraft to enter operational service.
