Marrbury Smokehouse |
Marrbury Smokehouse was established in January 1997 with a package of support involving the Self Starter Programme and MEGA. It is now a thriving business employing three full time staff
The Marr family have been 'Net and Cobble' fishing in the River Cree for three generations and it was inevitable that Vincent would one day run his own Smokehouse. His wife Ruby soon became involved in the business, producing truly traditional smoked Scottish Salmon which find its way to hotels and restaurants across the country. A second grant under MEGA enabled the business to re-locate to larger premises and to purchase additional equipment to increase their production capacity.
