David Adams started his own business Adams Engineering in 1980, specialising in providing a quality skilled service in manufacturing packaging moulds, machinery maintenance and model engineering. The business is based at Newbie on the outskirts of Annan.
It is David's expertise and customer service that has afforded him regular contract work with recognised seafood firms in the area. The demand for this skilled service led to a substantial increase in workload for David and it was apparent that additional space and equipment was required. To enable the expansion plans to proceed, the business needed financial support. After contacting Dumfries Business Shop, David approached Groundbase with his proposals. After reviewing the project, Groundbase were able to offer grant assistance under the MEGA programme.
