Clachan Inn, Dalry :- |
Introducing the Clachan Inn ...Set in the picturesque village of St John's Town of Dalry on the A713, The Clachan Inn has quickly established a reputation for excellent food, cosy very well equipped bedrooms and a welcoming atmosphere. Completely refurbished and re-opened in Autumn 1999, the Clachan Inn suits the needs of anyone enjoying country life, whether shooting, fishing, walking or simply just exploring this beautiful and diverse area of Galloway. |
A Tradition of Comfort ...The best traditional features of the Inn have been skilfully combined with an innovative vision to create a spacious Lounge Bar, Snug and our most unusual 'Bothy Restaurant'. Open log fires combined with historical photographs and countryside memorabilia really do give you a true taste of Scotland. |
Good Food and Drink ...The menu is varied, catering for all with excellent daily specials and we pride ourselves in using local produce as much as possible. Our bar is well stocked offering a wide selection of beers and whiskies. An extensive wine list is also available. |
Excellent Accommodation ...The Inn has six twin/double tastefully decorated bedrooms, all en suite with baths and showers. Each bedroom is equipped with T.V, Tea and coffee making facilities, its own gun security lockers and clothes drying areas. The Inn has been re-designed to cater for group accommodation and has full central heating and masses of hot water. A separate drying room is also available. |
For the Walker ...There are many walks available. The Clachan Inn is half-way along the western section of the Southern Upland Way, which crosses the River Ken just a few yards behind the Inn. We are striving to make the Clachan Inn and Dalry a centre of excellence for walkers in Scotland. |
And the Sportsman ...We would be happy to assist anyone wishing to take part in one of the many country activities on offer in the area which includes our Walkers' Support Land Rover. Our Sporting Agency is able to arrange quality sport in this fantastic countryside whether shooting or fishing. Dogs are welcome by prior arrangement. |
