NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming)... |
What is NLP?
NLP brings together the key factors that influence our behaviour, thinking and feeling.
'Neuro' refers to our neurology, our thinking processes and our physiology.
'Linguistic' is language, how we use it, and how we are influenced by it.
'Programming' refers to the patterns of our behaviour and the goals we set.
NLP the Early Days
In the 1970's while Tom Peters was searching out excellence in organizations, John Grinder and Richard Bandler were studying outstanding individuals who were masters of communication and were able to bring about positive change in their clients. Grinder and Bandler 'modeled' these people to find how they were so effective. They then developed a methodology for teaching the essence of these people's excellence. The resulting tools they called Neuro Linguistic Programming.
Who is using NLP?
Some of the most famous companies are using NLP such as The Prudential, the Body Shop, Glaxo. ICI, Shell, Rover and Rolls Royce have used NLP.

NLP FOR BUSINESS |
What is NLP? Neuro-Linguistic Programming was developed in the late 1970's by mathematician Richard Bandler and linguistic John Grinder. While they were involved in a study of people who were excellent communicators and catalysts of personal change in others, they discovered patterns for excellence.
These patterns produced a model to help us understand how we perceive the world and organize our thinking, our skills, our feelings and our behaviour. With that understanding, personal and organizational change can be significantly accelerated.
NLP is a set of guiding principles, attitudes, knowledge, skills and techniques that lead to people empowering themselves and others.
The two day business focused programme will include:
"NLP is the key to understanding people and communication"
Joe Duffy, Training and Development Manager, Ethicon Edinburgh.
The training is practical based with demonstrations and exercises. You will learn by understanding, awareness, observation, practice, and review.
The trainer is Mark Barker who is a certified NLP Trainer (by Richard Bandler), Master Practitioner and has been teaching NLP and working with groups, organisations and individual clients for 11 years.
